Huawei mate 20 and Mate pro are the latest and greatest from Huawei’s high-end Mate line up.
If you guessed, you probably guessed right, the Huawei Mate 20 and mate 20 pro possess most of the regular features you have been seeing on high-end device released this month.

To set the Mate 20 and Mate 20 pro apart, Huawei featured improved Artificial intelligence that will cater for longer battery life and takin photos also Huawei had included a special charging mode on the Mate 20 and mate 20 pro.
A feature that may soon become a trend amongst high-end devices.

Taking off with its designed and build, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 pro look so much alike, with very little disparity.

Bonded by a metal frame, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 pro both feature glass in front and on the back, which facilities wireless and reverse wireless charging. More on that later. You have curved display on the Mate 20 pro while on the Mate 20 you have a standard flat glass.

Switch to the front of both phones, you observe the first disparity that differentiate the Mate 20 from the Mate 20 pro.
The Huawei mate 20 pro when compared to the standard mate 20 has a bigger Notch.
The Notch on the Mate 20 is a dew drop type, while the on the ?mate 20 pro resembled the notch on the iphone x.

Inside the notch on the Mate 20 pro display, you will find a Dot projector, flood illuminator and an Infrared Ray camera.
All this hardware powers the Face ID on the Mate 20 pro.
The Mate 20 doesn’t feature Face ID security.

The Mate 20 has features a 6.53 inch LCD DISPLAY with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080p resolution. While the mate 20 pro features a 6.39 inch OLED display with a Screen resolution of 3120 x 1440

Taking a look at the back of the both the Huawei mate 20 and Mate 20 pro, you also notice a second difference.
Both phones have 3 cameras a flash, crammed into a square box. On a gradient looking back.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro Has an Indisplay Fingerprint Sensor 

The Mate 20 has a rear fingerprint sensor, while the Mate 20 pro doesn’t. Instead the mate 20 pro makes uses of an indisplay find fingerprint sensor that is placed under the glass. In the lower middle position

Moving on the hardware side of the Huawei mate 20 and Mate 20 pro, both phones features sufficient specifications for 2018.
They are both powered by Hi-silicon kirin 980 chip, 6 gigs of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has the Biggest Battery On Any Flagship

The Mate 20 has a 4000MAH battery, while the Mate 20 pro has a 4,200MAH battery. Both phones support 40W super charge ND also 15W wireless charge.

As earlier said, the Huawei Mate 20 pro is capable of reverse wireless charging. When enabled in the setting menu, you will be able to wireless charge other devices using the Mate 20 pro.
Making the Mate 20 pro a power bank that can charge other phones wirelessly.
With the 4200MAH battery on the Mate 20 pro, charging other phones won’t be much of a pain.

Moving on to cameras, both the mate 20 and the mate 20 pro feature a 3 camera system on the rear, but their individual camera sensors are different.

On the Mate 20 Pro, you have:

  • 20MP ultra wide camera with an aperture of F/2.2
  • 8MP Telephoto camera with an aperture of F/1.4 with 5x optical zoom

Is the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro Worth It?

In my own opinion, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 pro are excellent devices, they pack enough hardware needed for 2018, with an excellent design. It’s star features are its Battery, design, cameras and Reverse charging.
Though the price has not been released, the Mate 20 and Mate 20 pro are totally worth it.
But you need to be aware that there are many alternatives to this phone. The price will actually tell if you should go with this one or not.
